Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 30 (IANS) Even as Rahul Gandhi led a Congress march in Wayanad against the CAA, Congress workers and supporters held hands to map India's borders in 12 of the 14 districts of Kerala on Thursday evening to register their protest.

Congress workers rallied in playgrounds in their respective areas and stood holding hands to outline India's borders and also took a pledge to defend the Constitution.

In Wayanad, Rahul Gandhi led thousands of people on a two-km 'Save the Constitution March', before addressing a public rally where he dubbed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ignorant, a liar and even compared him to Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse.

In Kozhikode district, the opposition party called off its plan to form a human map due to the demise of former state minister AM Kamalam, 96.

In Thiruvanathapuram, Congress Working Committee member A.K. Antony led party workers in registering their protest over the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and asserted that his party will continue to step up its opposition to the amended law.

The Congress move comes in the wake of a 700-km-long human chain formed by Communist Party of India-Marxist supporters in Kerala last Sunday. Over seven million people are reported to have stood along the National Highway from Kasargode in north Kerala to the southern tip in the state capital district.

The Congress has organised a series of protests at the state level against the CAA.
