Odisha journalist Dillip Satpathy passes away

Bhubaneswar, Sep 9 (IANS) Senior Odisha journalist and resident editor of English daily Business Standard (Bhubaneswar edition), Dillip Satpathy passed away here on late Sunday. He was 56.

Sources said Satpathy suffered from cardiac arrest on Sunday night and was rushed to a private hospital here. However, doctors declared him brought dead.

Sources also informed that Satpathy, a bachelor, was battling cancer since long.

Journalists and well-wishers paid tributes to him.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Niranjan Patnaik and other leaders expressed their condolences over the untimely demise of Satpathy.
