Historical Event on 12/26/1907
23rd session of the Indian National Congress was presided by Dr. Rash Behari Bose. In this session, Congress was split into two groups named 'Extremists' under the leadership of Lala Lajpat Rai and 'Moderates' under the leadership of Dr. Rashbehari Bose. Sir Pherozeshah Mehta took active part on the moderate side. Anand Bazar reported with headings as ""The 23rd National Congress. Presidential Election. Tilak's Amendment. Uproarious Proceedings. Free Fight. Police Aid. Pandal Cleared. Police Escort Tilak. Adjourned Sine Die"".

2/2/1917	Maharshi Vinayak Ramchandra Patwardhan (Annasaheb), collegue of Lokmanya Tilak, passed away.
2/2/1917	Qutubu'd-din Aibak (1206-1210) was crowned at Lahore after the death of Muhammad of Ghuri. He was originally a slave of Turkestan. As he started his career as a slave, the dynasty founded by him in India is known as ""Slave Dynasty"". The construction of Qutabminar was started during his regime. Since he was very generous, the people called him ""Lakh Baksh"".
1/23/1920	Air transportation began in India by two Royal Air Force planes between Karachi and Bombay, and Air Mail service started.
10/9/1970	Production of Uranium 233 started at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre in Bombay.
