Hi,I am changing my visa from F1 to H4. I have already got my H4 approved from USCIS. I will be going to India in 2 weeks and will go to chennai to get my H4 stamped. I have the following questions:- Is marriage certificate absolutely necessary? Is there anyone who got their H4 stamped without the marriage certificate?- If I get rejected the first time, how long is it before I can book for an appointment again?- Do I have to change my last name to my husbands?Since I have already got my H4 approved from the US govt, will they reject it at chennai during stamping? Does that happen? Thanks in advance for any help.
Marriage certificate is compulsary and atleast 2 recent payslips of your spouse. No need to change your surname. But your full name and name on marriage certificate should match as per my knowledge.
